• We take first-time rafters and folks who are unable to swim every day. Our trip is the perfect balance of risk and reward, fun for everyone!

• How far away is White Salmon from Portland? ​
  
• It's about an hour and a half from downtown Portland.

 

• What should I wear?​
• Please see our Get Ready page for all the details. 
• If it's chilly, we'll provide wetsuits / you may bring your own suit / booties

 

• My guide was AWESOME - can I tip them?
• Absolutely. Our guides are the best in the business, and as part of the service industry, tips are always welcome.

 

• What souvenirs are available? 
• Our professional photographers know the best spots to capture the excitement. Their photos will be available for purchase (Lighting is best early in the morning)
• We also have some great Portland Rafting Company swag!

 

• What is the minimum age for rafting the White Salmon? 
• Great question; variable answers.  Starting in April, 10 years old is our guideline; by the end of September, we are comfortable with 7/8 years old. 
• You know your child best; if they are a swimmer and are enthusiastic to come, great!  We would rather have an 8-year-old who is excited over a 12-year-old who doesn't want to be here. 

 

• How many people can fit on a raft?  
• Depending on the size of the people and the time of the year, smaller people can pile in; larger people need to be spaced out.
• 4- 8 on a raft. 

 

• All rafting trips will run rain or shine, regardless of weather, temperature, or smoke levels.

 

• All cancellations shall be assessed a $15 per person fee.

 

• Within 72 hours of trip departure, customers will be refunded 50% of the total trip price paid. 

 

• Cancellations that are made within 24 hours, including no-shows, regardless of circumstance, will receive no refund.

 

• We cannot make exceptions to these policies.
